England Schools Handball Tournament

On Tuesday 31st January, Homewood PE department hosted an England Schools Handball Tournament, hosting 7 teams from around Kent. The tournament ran extremely smoothly and the standard of handball on show was exceptional. All of the students behaved impeccably and represented their schools positively. We were fortunate enough to have Augustina from Kent University’s Handball Team referee all of the games. The tournament consisted of 26 games being played and involved Under 13 and Under 15 girls and boys age groups. 

Our Homewood teams played some incredible handball and fought hard in all of their games. Below are the positions we finished in. 

Under 13 girls - 3rd place 
Under 15 girls - 2nd place
Under 13 boys - 3rd place
Under 15 boys - 3rd place

We look forward to continuing to develop handball at Homewood. Just a reminder that the handball club takes place every Tuesday after-school in the sports hall. All age groups and abilities welcome!
