Summary Information
The geography department is really excited to be able to offer 60 students who are currently in year 10, 11 and 12 the opportunity to travel and explore Iceland in October 2024. Whilst visiting we will be experiencing a wide range of geographical phenomena such as the Secret Lagoon, the only live lava show in the world and the opportunity to walk on Sólheimajökull glacier. We will also see a variety of landscapes of the famous Golden Circle, south shore of Iceland and the Reykjanes Peninsula. And if we are really lucky we could see the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights). It is an amazing opportunity for our GCSE and A Level students to see the geography they have learnt about outside the classroom.
