This Easter a group of students undertook a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the slopes of Austria, we were based In Hochfugen in the Ziller Valley for six days. The students took part in four hours of instructed lessons each day, where they learnt the basics of skiing or developed on their previous knowledge. It was fantastic to see their development throughout the week, and each and every group had progressed to skiing down the blues and reds by the end of the week. The group sampled some Austrian cuisine within the hotel as well as some staple British dishes to appease them. Apres ski allowed students to undertake a movie night, bingo, a games night as well as a quiz night.

I thoroughly enjoyed the ski trip to Austria this year. I thought it was a fantastic opportunity and a great fun way to get people skiing. The instructors were all very good at explaining what to do and we were constantly being pushed by the instructors to try new things on the skis. I had a lot of fun, my favourite part was when we were able to go to the top of the mountain on the gondola and ski down the long slope. I think people should go on this trip as you will have lots of fun, and you get to meet lots of new people and make new friends. I really enjoyed the activities in the evenings, like the movie night and games nights. I also liked the games room. The teachers who took us were all really helpful.
