Tenterden Lions Support Homewood School’s Wellbeing Room

On Wednesday 8^th March, Miss Eade took receipt of a cheque for £850 that was very kindly donated by the Tenterden Lions.  The money will purchase resources for My Room – a new space at Homewood where students who have had more complex childhoods are referred. Activities are designed to meet students at their emotional age which is often different to their chronological age. They are able to enjoy using a variety of holistic resources, be creative, explore, experiment, have fun and gain new experiences that they may have missed out on their earlier childhoods.  Students are able to build stronger relationships with their key adults, develop their social skills and create new neural pathways to enable growth and so they can reach their full potential.
