Exam Invigilator
Exam Invigilator
£12.36 per hour plus 12.07% holiday pay
Are you reliable, flexible and enthusiastic and able to work well, both as part of a team or independently? Would you like to join our team by providing invigilation for both internal pre-public examinations (PPEs) and external examinations throughout the academic year?
Invigilators have a key role in upholding the integrity and security of the external examination and assessment process and are a vital part of the Exams Office team. You will use your confident and reassuring presence in exam rooms, be able to give instructions and manage evolving situations. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is a keen sense of attention to detail, basic IT skills and most importantly the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Previous experience is not required as full training will be provided, however, experience of working with young adults would be an advantage.
Successful applicants will be readily available during the main external examination/PPE periods of April-June, November, January-March.
In return, you will enjoy a unique working environment in the heart of the Weald of Kent. There is an independent nursery based on the school site.

If you’re excited about Languages, we’re keen to hear from you as we are looking for a colleague who can offer German up to and including GCSE level. The ability to teach French would be an advantage but is not essential.
Our language department currently offers French, German and Mandarin and we are looking to increase our offering to include Spanish in coming years. Salary: Site Team Scale S01, Points 23-27, £34,434- £38,220 (dependent on experience)
39 hours per week
We are looking to appoint a Site Manager to lead the day to day management of facilities at Homewood. The role will include health and safety compliance, managing security, caretaking, and the maintenance of premises. A NEBOSH or IOSH qualification and a good understanding of regulatory compliance are desirable.
There will be a requirement to ensure that the site is safe and secure out of hours and to hold a duty phone on a rota basis in order to liaise with our out of hours security provider. The successful candidate will work with a professional, can do and proactive approach having had supervisory or management experience. They will be able to build an effective team and cultivate positive relationships with a range of stakeholders. They will be someone who takes pride in providing an environment which is safe, healthy, clean, and secure for our pupils, staff and visitors. They will also be highly effective and thrive in a varied role where no day is the same. The Line Management and Performance Management of a team of caretakers will be integral to this post.
We seek to develop our staff through a professional growth model and treat everyone as an individual; we value personal strengths and qualities. Appropriate training will be provided to develop the suitable candidate. Our school is set in a 55 acre site midway between London and the Channel Ports.
