Homewood School & Sixth Form Centre would like to invite you to join our exciting new Teacher Subject Specialism Training Programme. Available to teachers who want to extend their knowledge and skills whilst gaining accreditation in either Mathematics, Physics or MFL subject specialisms.
In response to growing demand for skilled Physics, Mathematics and MFL teachers the Department for Education is funding a re-training programme for qualified teachers of other subjects. We have designed a course that will provide exciting professional development for non-specialists teachers seeking to:
- teach Mathematics, Physics or MFL in addition to their existing subject specialism
- retrain as a Mathematics, Physics or MFL teacher
- return to teaching as either a Mathematics, Physics or MFL subject specialist.
On graduation from this one year part-time course you will be accredited as a Mathematics, Physics or MFL subject specialist capable of delivering KS3 and KS4 (GCSE) programmes of study.
Delivered in partnership with Tenterden Rural Alliance and Discovery Education we offer an exciting and innovative approach to continuing professional development.
The programme will equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver inspirational and engaging learning opportunities for pupils leading to improved pupil outcomes and progress.
