We are seeking an individual to support students and families through the CAF process. The successful candidate should expect to be involved from the initial assessment of a case through to the closing of a CAF once agreed targets have been met.
Homewood School, Tenterden is an oversubscribed progressive and innovative school set in a 55 acre site midway between London and the Channel Ports. Tenterden is described as ‘The Jewel of the Weald’. Its fine High Street must rank amongst the most attractive in the Country with historic houses, shops and restaurants separated from the road by wide expanses of tree-lined grass verges.
We are seeking a science technician to prepare practical lessons and support science staff. Experience would be an advantage but not essential, a good level of organisation and ability to time manage are important. The successful candidate would need to be mindful of health and safety, flexible and be able to take directions as a vital part of their role within the team.
Working towards level 2 qualifications while they earn, the successful candidate will be able to work well as part of the Homewood team and show initiative. They will have a flexible approach and a willingness to learn. There will be a requirement to work effectively towards the qualifications associated to these apprenticeship opportunities as part of the terms of employment.
The successful candidate will be based in the Media Centre. An interest in graphic design would be preferable.
If you like working with young people, have GCSE Grade C or above in Mathematics and English Language and a sound first degree, we will be interested in your application to train as a teacher from
