Higher Level Teaching Assistant, Heather Hayes from Homewood School has been working with Sixth Formers and year 7 and 8 students to raise funds for the charity UNICEF.
Students Alina and Mimi, overall winners of the Holocaust Memorial Garden plans received their book tokens generously donated by the Chairman of the Tenterden British Legion
On Friday 17th March Homewood School Library was host to one of the first student activities of the Tenterden Schools Trust.
Congratulations to Homewood School student Kieran who has just won the London Regional Final of the FutureChef Competition, attended by the prestigious Chef Brian Turner, and is now through to the National Final.
On Friday the 3rd of March, 180 Year 8 students heard the testimony from Holocaust survivor, Ruth Barnett, as part of a visit by the Holocaust Educational Trust (HET).
On 2nd March over 400 students came to choose their free book when Homewood Library celebrated World Book Day.
Year 8 students completed their Humanities Holocaust project with their final task to create a plan of their own Holocaust memorial garden.
On the 20th-21st March the library welcomed author Robert Crowther for a 2 day workshop with all Year 8 students. During these 2 days, Robert demonstrated different pop-up techniques which would help the students to create their own pop-up books on World War I trenches.
On Monday 27th March John Young, BCC News Reader and journalist, visited Homewood School Library to work with Key Stage 3 students.
